The Morval Rally has two aims:- Firstly we aim to give our visitors, whether they are adults or children, an enjoyable day out at a modest price.
- Secondly we seek to raise funds for charity.
Each year we nominate a charity which will receive the bulk of the money we raise but we also retain sufficient funds to help the smaller individual cases which can go unrecognised. Over the last four years we have, on average, donated nearly £12,000 a year to worthy causes. 2008 will see us raising funds for many other local charities one being little Archie Barton read archies story at www.archiesstory.co.uk the rally has made one donation to the cause and hopes to be able to help again . The 2007 rally raised funds for Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust [FLEET] to equip the westcountry ambulances with the best so that any one in any part of Cornwall will get the best attention possible. The 2006 Rally raised funds for Liskeard branch RNLI / MACMILLAN NURSES and other local charities. For 2005 our focus was on the Peninsula Medical School and Equipment for Derriford Hospital. Plus of course other local charities! In 2004, we joined forces with the British Heart Foundation to purchase equipment for the Cardiac Treatment Unit in the newly opened Liskeard Community Hospital. Plus other local charities. In 2003, we selected the Chestnut Appeal as our main charity. There are lots of good reasons to give us a visit but to have a fun day out and to support a really worthwhile cause at the same time - that's an unbeatable combination! |
